High Helix taper length drills have flute lengths which are the same as taper shank drills of the same size. Overall length combined with flutes longer than standard allow the drilling of deep holes.

- Polished fast helix flutes promote easy chip ejection
High helix can be used in nonferrous metals, low tensile steels and cast alloys. The high helix and polished flutes help lift the chips out of the hole. Drilling partial holes and retracting the drill from the hole to evacuate chips is recommended.
