Screw Thread Insert (STI) Taps

Thread taps taps will produce a larger than nominal size threaded hole to accommodate a helical screw thread insert. These special taps offer a positive means to strengthen and protect tapped threads of any materials, while the screw thread insert provide strong tapped threads due to a more balanced distribution of load throughout the thread engagement length.
