Regal Complies With New Hazard Communication Safety Data Sheets

June 1st 2015, the new Hazard Communication Standard will require chemical manufacturers, distributors and importers to provide Safety Data Sheets (formerly MSDS or Material Safety Data Sheets) to communicate the hazards associated with their products.

The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) is now aligned with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling. This new system will provide a more consistent and formal classification and easily understandable information relative to handling and use.

The first 8 sections contain general information about:

  • Component elements
  • Identification
  • Hazards composition

Helpful information related to control measures and safe-handling practices should be helpful to anyone needing immediate details.

There are component elements in our products that require identification, but our products do not present a physical or health hazard. The processing of products can include the formation of dust particles, which should be avoided by the use of proper ventilation and respiration devices. Always use safety eyewear when working with cutting tools.
