Recap: Regal Celebrates Manufacturing Day 2013

Over 50 enthusiastic students from Illinois and Wisconsin visited Regal Cutting Tools on October 4, 2013 to celebrate MFG Day.  All of these students attend technical education classes and are showing interest in a career in manufacturing.

We conducted numerous tours in small groups so Regal operations could be demonstrated and fully explained. The tour included CNC flute milling and grinding, as well as vacuum heat treating and CNC threading operations.

The number of high quality questions asked indicated that these potential future manufacturing employees had a serious interest in hearing about the operations of a plant whose emphasis is shipping orders tomorrow that are manufactured today.

Regal was one of over 800 manufacturers nationwide who participated by hosting open house tours so interested visitors could get a glimpse of the modern day operations of companies proud to be manufacturing products in the USA.

Dozens of community leaders and other interested local patrons also showed their support by attending MFG Day 2013 with us.

Regal was honored to see this demonstration of dedication to the manufacturing field, and we look forward to continuing to foster the bright future it holds for a younger generation.
